MEET THE CEO

Jonathan Bulmer

Before starting Atlas Northern, I spent seven years working as an accountant in private healthcare. While it gave me a solid foundation, progression was limited and I wasn’t getting the level of satisfaction I was looking for.

Coming from a competitive sporting background — and being one of four brothers — I’ve always had that drive to push myself and do more. I knew I needed something that would challenge me and give me real opportunity, which is what led me into a management training programme.

Starting out in Liverpool, I learned the fundamentals of sales, leadership, and business development. Fourteen months later, I opened my own office in Leeds.

What I enjoy most about this industry is that your results are down to you. There’s no ceiling — your effort, attitude, and consistency determine where you go. That’s something that really suited me.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is to keep your ego in check. There’s always someone who knows something you don’t. The sooner you’re willing to learn, apply it, and work on your craft, the faster you’ll grow.

This business has already given me the chance to travel and experience new opportunities, and now my focus is on building that same path for others — helping people develop, succeed, and achieve more than they thought was possible.
